We are delighted to announce the programme for Braids 2025, Rocking Braids & Bands which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, USA from June 15-21, 2025.    Please go to Braids2025.com to explore all the wonderful tutors and workshops.      The cost will be announced later in the summer with registration in September 2024.

Braids 2022, World and Nordic Braids and Bands,  is the fifth international conference on Braiding and will be held in Svendborg, Denmark in August 2022.   The programme has been issued and can be found under the menu option Braids 2022.

The Braid Society AGM will be held on 24th October 2020 virtually.    Details of how to join have been sent to members and are also in the September newsletter.

With apologies for the short notice, the Tokyo Come & Try Day will be postponed from 8 March due to health advisories in Japan.  A new date will be arranged for later in the year.

The notice for renewal until 1 Nov 2019 has been sent out.   The email incorrectly states that your membership runs out on 31 Oct 2017.   This should have read 31 Oct 2018.

Following a number of challenges with the Yahoo group, Braids and Bands, the Council took the decision to move the group to a different hosting site, Groups.io.   The transfer to Groups.io has been initiated and all new members should join Groups.io rather than Yahoo.

In addition to the group on Groups.io, we have two groups on Facebook, Braids and Bands and Braid Society Members to try to ensure that we communicate to as wide an audience as possible.

Registration for Braids 2019 is now open at braids2019.org and click on Registration.   You have until 31st August 2018 and workshops will not be assigned on first come, first served so you have plenty of time to decide on classes.

When you register, you select 4 choices of class for Monday-Tuesday and 4 choices for Thursday-Friday and for these choices you assign a weighting of 10-200.   The total for the 4 choices must add up to 200.

You need to decide on your hotel booking since these need to be made by the organising committee in September.   Rates for the hotels are provided.  If you do not wish to stay at the conference hotels, you may not be able to change your mind later.
