Braids 2012, the 2nd international braiding conference will be held in
Manchester, England from August 19-25th , 2012.
England will be hosting the Olympics in London in August concluding on 18th August, followed by the Para Olympics from 26th August so this conference is designed to bridge the two events.
Manchester is a thriving city in
the north of England and has a long textile history.
In addition to
the museums, galleries and theatres in Manchester, there are museums nearby such as the Silk Museum in Macclesfield, Styal Mill and Helmshore
Mill.
For outdoor activities, the beautiful Lake District is a short journey away and the transport links from Manchester connect to all areas of England, Scotland and Wales.
